Deer Encounter

In Journal by Steve Sliwa

Driving home from Dallesport last night I encountered a deer at about 60 mph.  I managed to drive about 2 miles down road to get to a spot where I could get picked up by Dave.  No injuries or shocks to me or the other occupants (Pixie and Angle).  I swerved a bit but did not slam on the brakes.  Unfortunately my Zig exactly matched its Zag.  Since it was night I couldn’t pick up the motion until it was too late.
The tow truck came this morning to take it to the shop.  I think there is a good chance that this might be the last we see of it.  Tow truck driver (former estimator) estimated $8K for repairs.  Car has a trade-in value of about $9K.
