Brownie Bean Pot

In Mom Sliwa's Recipes by Steve Sliwa

This is an easy dish that Mom Sliwa made for the girls during Brownie scout outings, but the family grew to like it.  The boys were known to finish full pots.  It is both hearty and sweet while being easy to make.  Perhaps it has drugs, hard to put down.  It can be eaten hot, warmed, or cold.

Ingredients

8 strips Bacon, browned and drained
2 large cans Baked Beans
1 ½ cups ketchup
1 tablespoon mustard
½ pound brown sugar
1 pound grounded hamburger

Directions
  1. Brown and crumble the bacon. Set aside
  1. Brown about 1 – 1/2 lbs of ground beef.
  1. Add beans, ketchup and mustard. Add brown sugar. Add crumbled bacon and doctor to taste.
